SS21: Here Comes The Sun Goddess Collection

Part of our limited edition Spring Collection, our Sun Goddess pouches, coin purses, bags and eye masks are inspired by brighter days and warmer climes; promising to radiate golden rays, regardless of the skies above. 

When taking to her sketchbook for this latest design, Elizabeth dreamt of past trips to Cyprus, visiting her husband’s family, “We would spend lazy afternoons lounging and feasting on halloumi pittas in his Yiayia’s garden under the shade of olive trees, basking in the sun and taking a dip in the turquoise sea. I am counting down the days until we can visit again”.

Based on crisp white cotton, the motif saw Elizabeth reimagining the sun as a golden goddess, with a human-like face created from intricate threads radiating magic and warmth. When dreaming up the new Spring design, Elizabeth took inspiration from a piece of writing from the late Persian poet Hafiz; “Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth, ‘You owe me.’ Look what happens with a love like that. It lights the whole sky.”

While paying tribute to nature and its almighty power through our designs, we also pledge to give back to the plants and animals that inspire our beautiful products with our 2% To The Wild promise. That means that 2% of our annual sales will go towards the preservation of keystone species; be it through funding a mobile veterinary unit or providing milk for orphaned elephants.
