Hosting tips for your Galentine's get-together

Here’s to the friendships that make life a little sweeter! While Valentine’s Day might be reserved for romance, this February we’re celebrating love in all its forms; whether it's for friends, family, or yourself!

To get in the spirit, discover our top Galentine’s hosting tips inspired by our recent candlelit soirée to celebrate the launch of our new Love Hearts design, hosted by Elizabeth and Zeena Shah at Amie wine studio. Join us in raising a glass to the wonderful women in our lives, and read on for all the inspiration you need for your Galentine’s gathering this year (whoever, and however you’re celebrating…)

1. Gather your guestlist

First thing's first: guestlist. Galentine’s is the perfect opportunity to introduce friends who wouldn’t normally meet, so don’t be afraid to mix it up. From your oldest friend to your flatmate, favourite cousin or the work bestie who always brightens your day - the more, the merrier!

2. Add a handmade touch

There's a magic to receiving a proper, handwritten invitation. Set the tone for your Galentine's celebration by hand-making or painting a pretty invitation to your friends - the perfect personal touch to show you really thought about it. Or why not take it to your tablescape, with hand-painted place names or menus for each setting?

3. Get creative with activities

No girls’ night in is complete without a crafty activity (or two); create the ultimate cosy evening with a craft to add something extra special to the celebrations - whether it’s painting, pottery, candle-making, baking or friendship bracelets, to ensure everyone gets a sweet memento to take home.

3. Bake a sweet treat

Nothing says celebration like a cake! Our Galentine’s cake was made by the wonderfully talented Lily Vanilli, but if you’re feeling creative, show love by making your own vintage cake, complete with a sweet iced message from you to them.

4. Give a gift

Say ‘I appreciate you’ with a little token of love. If gift giving is your love language, the cherry on top of the perfect evening is a gifting exchange. From the beauty-besotted to the wellness warrior or avid traveller, if you're stuck for ideas - our heartfelt edit is the perfect place to find something to delight every type of friend this Galentine's. (Top tip: add personalisation for extra brownie points!)

Whatever your plans, we wish you a Galentine's full of love and friendship. Happy hosting!
